I did not like the orthodontists attitude, she was very dismissive and uninterested in my concerns. Dr. Laska has always been great though, and I appreciate him.
First time I went, it was OK. I just came in for a cleaning. They try to upsell you stuff, like buying a car. "You should get a mouth guard. You should get those teeth aligned. You should get this treatment (pointing at poster on the wall)." Equipment doesn't look modern. No TV on the ceilings so you're just staring at the tiles.
Mark Laska is simply the BEST! He has been my dentist for over 25 years now! I hope he never retires! 😘 He and his staff give such expert yet loving care to their patients that they always leave the office with a smile😍
I would give negative stars if I could. Very poor standard of patient care. Dr. Chen filled several small cavities for me, that almost all became so sensitive that I couldn't even chew on the teeth since July, and likely need root canals due to the poor care. Dr. Laska has been condescending, and his team has zero urgency and poor communication while I've had to go back in two times to rectify the issues they caused. When I asked for a refund of the $1,200 spent, they refused, unless I went back in for another appointment. This has been a huge waste of time, and I don't trust that they'll actually give me the appropriate level of care to fix my teeth. In fact, I'm afraid they'll continue to damage them, which is consistent with the level of care they've provided so far. Overall I would NOT recommend going here. I'm going to a different dental practice and will likely have to pay quite a bit of money to correct the damage that this team did. What a disappointment.
The staff here is nice but I feel like they're a bit cavity happy, jumping on the opportunity to fill even the tiniest of holes. My dentist told me to get a cavity filled and when I returned, a different dentist who was working on me said we shouldn't fill it because he would have to blast away too much healthy tooth structure, as the hole was tinier than the surface of his drill. My dentist also recommended that we fill some cavities, not realizing that he was looking at my old x-rays of cavities he filled at my previous visit. I also got overcharged for application of desensitizing resin for every cavity that I got filled and my dental insurance confirmed this. I learned that this desensitizing resin isn't necessary but more of a way for dentists to charge patients to make more money. I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and a new practice that is more trustworthy.
